INTERN, JOURNAL PRODUCTION

What you'll do.

As an Intern in Journal Production, you'll dive into the dynamic world of scholarly publishing, learning through hands-on experience to ensure articles meet the highest standards and are published on schedule. Your contributions will directly enhance both print and digital journal content, giving you real experience and impact. You'll also have the opportunity to update and manage materials on the journal's websites, ensuring information is accessible to readers. Throughout your internship, you'll develop valuable skills in both print and online production, gaining a comprehensive understanding of how quality scholarly content is brought to life from start to finish.

What we look for.

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Enrolled as a student working towards a degree in biological science, publishing, editing, English, or related field.

Experience:

  • Work (or course work) experience in editing, proofreading, or grammar.
  • Competence in Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and web searching.

Travel Requirements: Travel not required

Location: Minneapolis, MN and is identified as primarily remote (ability to work remotely, but required to work in the office as needed or requested)

Schedule: Rarely beyond standard work schedule required
