Description

Essential Functions:



  • Implement, administer, monitor and manage Enterprise Backup and Recovery hardware and software.
  • Implement, administer, monitor and manage all data center storage hardware and software.
  • Identify storage and backup performance issues and assist in the development of tools and procedures for better system management.
  • Conduct the configuration management of storage systems.
  • Assist in the building of storage and backup/recovery infrastructure.
  • Ensure appropriate support for all Production and Development storage systems.
  • Initiate proactive and preventive storage system upgrades through code level review.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot escalated incidents.
  • Conduct information infrastructure audit to provide recommendations for continuous improvements.
  • Ensure effective Disaster Recovery Plans and Tests for all mission-critical servers and applications.
  • For all Production and Development systems, work with the Data Center personnel as well as all other areas of System Services, Development, Production Support and Ecommerce to achieve sufficient performance/capacity levels, resolve problem issues and make general improvements.
  • Ensure appropriate Production Support for all Production and Development systems.
  • Evaluate new Storage, Disaster Recovery, Enterprise Backup and other Operations technologies and tools to remain current with Industry trends and practices and make recommendations for their implementation within the enterprise.
  • Work with vendors to implement effective hardware and software solutions.
  • Provide technical assistance and consulting for IT projects and requests.
  • Manage Data Center projects as directed.
  • Complete all required training applicable to assigned position.
  • Additional duties as requested or required.

Qualifications

  • Six years of experience in Computer Operations and/or Storage Management is required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related business area is preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Veeam and VMWare Administration is preferred.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are required.
  • Off-hours availability is required.
