Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) is seeking a Critical Care Technician (CCT), with Day and Night shift availability, and to provide rotating weekend and holiday coverage.
Blake 7 is an eighteen bed Adult Medical Intensive Care Unit, located in Boston MA. This is a multidisciplinary unit with a variety of complex respiratory and medical patients. The unit cares for patients who may require treatments that include CVVH and ECMO. Notable diagnosis includes but not limited to sepsis, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, heme-oncology, cardiac, neurology, and infectious diseases such as H1N1(2005), suspect Ebola virus (2014) and the novel Corona Virus (2020).
Under the direction of a registered nurse (RN), the CCT assists the multi-disciplinary health care team in clinical support functions to promote a safe, compassionate patient care environment.

Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred

Licenses and Credentials
Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] - Data Conversion - Various Issuers preferred Certified Medical Assistant [National Certification] - Data Conversion - Various Issuers preferred Emergency Medical Technician - Paramedic [Massachusetts] - Massachusetts Office of Emergency Medical Services preferred Nursing Assistant [LNA - New Hampshire] - New Hampshire Board of Nursing preferred

Experience
Experience working in patient care/elder care 1-2 years preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Strong patient/customer service skills.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
- Proficient computer skills to work efficiently with electronic medical records.
