Job Title: Software Automations and Integrations Engineer

Duration: 12 months (possibility of extension)

Location: United States - Remote

  • Familiar with query languages including JQL and J1QL.
  • Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS and Azure.

  • Experience with automation and DevOps tools: Selenium, AWS Lambda, Docker, JupiterOne, Ansible, Postman, Terraform, Airtable, Confluence, Jira.
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines integrated with Bitbucket and GitHub.
  • Knowledge of AI technologies.
  • Experience with secret management tools such as AWS Secrets Manager and HashiCorp Vault.


1. Work Location & Schedule

  • Role is remote; no city-specific requirement.
  • 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday (8-hour days).
  • Time tracking and timesheets completed in Fieldglass.
  • Domestic travel ~5%, optional for team offsites.
  • All travel expenses entered in Fieldglass; must be submitted immediately and within 60 days.


2. Role Context

  • Role open due to increased project load; existing engineer needs additional support.
  • Projects include automations and integrations across multiple cybersecurity tools.
  • Typical day includes JIRA ticket work, Slack communication, team meetings, and 1:1s.
  • Regular interaction with four direct team members and many across cybersecurity.
  • Success determined by measurable progress and team feedback.
  • Past challenges: many candidates lacked automation/integration experience.


3. Interview Process

  • Preferably one interview; if two, all stakeholders must attend together.
  • Multiple team members involved.
  • Ideal start date: ASAP (within two weeks after selection).
  • No upcoming PTO affecting interviews.

  • Urgency: strong need to fill the role quickly.
  • Deal-breakers: inadequate automation experience (Python, APIs, Lambda).
  • Team culture: collaborative; team members across all U.S. time zones (Central preferred but flexible).
