About the Role

We are seeking a Production Manager to join our team at our Cayce, SC bakery. As a Production Manager, you will be accountable for overseeing daily bakery production, engineering, and sanitation activities to ensure a continuous flow of highquality products that meet customer, regulatory, and company standards. You will lead teams, partner closely with Quality Assurance, manage staffing and development, and drive continuous improvement across all bakery operations.

Shift & Schedule



  • Shift: Oversees evening and overnight operations
  • Hours: Core hours span 3:00 PM-6:00 AM; may include schedules such as 3:00 PM-11:00 PM, 6:00 PM-2:00 AM, or 11:00 PM-6:00 AM
  • Weekend availability: Required based on operational needs



Core Accountabilities (What You'll Be Doing)



  • Lead and coordinate production, engineering, and sanitation operations to ensure efficient, safe, and highquality output
  • Ensure proper formulation and production techniques, partnering with FSQA to resolve quality issues
  • Manage staffing, performance evaluations, employee relations, and career development for production teams
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiency, including waste reduction and line optimization
  • Support safety, sanitation, audit readiness, and regulatory compliance across all operational areas
  • Provide accurate data, support budgeting processes, and lead capital project planning and execution
  • Collaborate with senior leadership, technical teams, and internal/external stakeholders to meet customer and business objectives



Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)



  • Bachelor's degree in business management or related field (or equivalent experience); Master's degree preferred
  • Experience in a management role and in planning/controlling manufacturing processes
  • Knowledge of food manufacturing operations (production, packaging, engineering, shipping, etc.)
  • Strong leadership, communication, conflictresolution, and teambuilding skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours supporting evening and overnight operations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and understanding of related operational systems



Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)



  • Experience in bakery production (mixing, proofing, baking, packaging)
  • Bilingual English/Spanish
  • Continuous improvement training (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen)
  • Experience supporting capital projects or operating within complex technical environments
  • Experience collaborating across diverse teams and customer groups
