POSITION SUMMARY: As a key member of the Human Resources team, the People Services Administrator provides administrative and operational support across all core HR functions. This role supports employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, HRIS administration, benefits support, and employee relations documentation. The position requires strong attention to detail, discretion, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing and unionized environment. WHY JOIN US:

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Coordinate onboarding and orientation processes for new hires, ensuring positive employee experience and timely completion of required documentation.
- Serve as the first point of contact for employees, visitors, vendors, contractors, and applicants entering the facility, providing professional assistance and directing inquiries as appropriate.
- Maintain and update Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) with accurate employee information, employment status changes, compensation updates, organizational data, and other employee records.
- Assist with benefits administration, open enrollment activities, employee benefit inquiries, and related documentation.
- Maintain compliance-related records and documentation, including I-9s, leave administration records, personnel files, and other regulatory requirements.
- Provide administrative support for employee relations matters, including investigations, documentation preparation, corrective actions, and progressive discipline processes.
- Support grievance tracking, labor relations activities, and administration of Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) provisions as directed.
- Assist with recruitment activities, including interview scheduling, candidate coordination, reference checks, candidate communications, and hiring logistics.
- Maintain employee badge inventory and issuance records, ensuring badge logs remain accurate and up to date. Coordinate the ordering of badges and related supplies as needed.
- Manage and maintain the site's postage machine, including supply monitoring, vendor coordination, and operational support.
- Prepare, update, analyze, and distribute recurring and ad hoc reports, metrics, and workforce data for Human Resources and plant leadership.
- Coordinate and distribute daily communications, safety notifications, and general plant updates to Cell Leaders and operational leadership through Toolbox Talks and other communication channels.
- Serve as the Human Resources representative on the Company's Social Committee, assisting with the planning, coordination, and execution of employee engagement activities, events, recognition programs, and plant-wide initiatives.
- Assist with maintaining employee records, filing systems, and internal controls to ensure personnel files are accurate, complete, up to date, and maintained in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR systems, processes, procedures, reporting tools, and administrative controls.
- Provide exceptional customer service and administrative support to employees, supervisors, managers, union representatives, vendors, contractors, and external stakeholders while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
- Perform other duties, special projects, and administrative responsibilities as assigned in support of Human Resources and plant operations.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
- 1-3 years of experience in an HR administrative or generalist support role.
- Experience in a manufacturing and/or unionized environment preferred.
- Working knowledge of HRIS and payroll systems.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
