Quality Technician

Position: Quality Lab Technician - Failure Analysis

Location: Valencia, CA

Schedule: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Pay: Up to $30/hour

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Lab Technician to support product testing, troubleshooting, and failure analysis of returned devices. This role plays a key part in identifying product issues, documenting investigation results, and supporting continuous improvement efforts within a regulated manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform electrical, electronic, and mechanical troubleshooting on returned products with customer complaints.
• Conduct detailed failure analysis and product testing using lab equipment such as meters, oscilloscopes, X-ray machines, and cutting tools.
• Document all investigation findings and conclusions in the Global Complaint Management System (GCMS).
• Collaborate with quality engineers and technicians to review results and improve investigation accuracy.
• Identify opportunities to improve product quality and manufacturing processes.
• Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions (WIs) to ensure compliance.
• Assist with maintaining the quality lab environment and equipment.
• Perform product record reviews and support post-market quality activities when needed.

Qualifications:

• Associate degree in Electrical or Electro-Mechanical Technology or related field.
• Minimum 2+ years of laboratory failure analysis or electronics troubleshooting experience.
• Experience using test and diagnostic lab equipment.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the medical device industry.
• Familiarity with RF devices, SAP, Salesforce, or post-market quality systems.
