Job Description




As a Security Officer - Reception Screener Driver in Irving, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help manage access points by greeting associates and drivers, verifying credentials, monitoring activity, and documenting security-related observations using a computer or tablet. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license, with mobile visibility across the site as needed. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen employees, visitors, and vendors at designated checkpoints using approved screening methods, validating identification, issuing visitor credentials, and directing traffic flow to appropriate areas.
  • Support access control by monitoring entry and exit points, checking delivery paperwork and/or driver information, and maintaining screening and visitor logs per site requirements.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site leadership and/or emergency services as needed and completing required reports.
  • Observe activity at screening areas and nearby entry points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or prohibited items, reporting irregularities through Allied Universal communication and reporting channels.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Security Experience - 6+ Months.
  • Be 21+ Years of Age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet - preferred.
  • Customer Service Experience - preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
