The Senior Product Marketing Manager is a senior individual contributor role focused on developing high-impact product marketing assets that brings product strategy to life and enables successful go-to-market execution. This role is responsible for translating complex product capabilities into clear, compelling narratives through case studies, sales collateral, white papers, product demos, and video content.

Partnering closely with Product, Sales, Marketing, and Creative teams, this role plays a critical hands-on role in shaping how products are positioned, understood, and adopted in the market.

Responsibilities

Content Strategy & Creation (Primary Focus)



  • Own the creation of high-quality product marketing content, including:



    • Customer case studies and success stories

    • Sales and marketing collateral (pitch decks, solution briefs, one-pagers)

    • White papers and thought leadership assets

    • Product demo narratives, scripts, and supporting assets

    • Video content concepts and scripts (e.g., explainer videos, customer stories)



  • Translate product features, technical concepts, and roadmaps into clear customer-facing value propositions

  • Ensure content is aligned to buyer needs, use cases, and stages of the customer journey

  • Maintain consistency and quality across messaging, tone, and positioning


Product Positioning & Messaging


  • Develop and refine product positioning, messaging, and value propositions for assigned products

  • Create messaging frameworks that can be reused across campaigns, sales motions, and channels

  • Partner with Product Management to deeply understand product strategy and roadmap direction

  • Ensure messaging clearly differentiates products in competitive markets


Go-to-Market Enablement


  • Support go-to-market launches through hands-on asset creation and execution

  • Develop sales enablement materials that help sellers clearly articulate product value and differentiation

  • Collaborate with Sales and Channel teams to ensure content supports real-world selling scenarios

  • Continuously refine content based on field feedback and performance insights


Competitive & Market Insights


  • Conduct competitive research and market analysis to inform positioning and content

  • Synthesize insights into practical proof points, objection-handling materials, and battlecards

  • Maintain a strong understanding of customer needs, personas, and buying motivations


Cross-Functional Collaboration


  • Partner closely with Creative teams to bring content to life through strong storytelling and design

  • Work with external agencies, analysts, or vendors as needed to support content development

  • Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Sales, and Channel stakeholders to align content with business priorities

  • Influence through expertise, insights, and high-quality execution rather than formal authority


Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree preferred

  • 12+ years of experience in product marketing, content marketing, or related roles

  • Proven track record as a hands-on individual contributor producing high-impact marketing content

  • Strong storytelling, writing, and content development skills

  • Experience translating complex products into clear, compelling narratives

  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder communication skills


The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:

United States - CA Bay Area : 186,000 - 280,000 USD / Annual

United States - CA Non-Bay Area, AK, CT, DC, IL, MD, MA, NJ, NY, VA, WA : 171,000 - 257,000 USD / Annual

United States - Other posted locations not specifically listed : 155,000 - 233,000 USD / Annual

Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location.The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.

The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
