Security Officer - Flex Armed Perimeter Patrol

As a Security Officer - Armed Perimeter Patrol in Boston, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to situations with calm professionalism, document observations, and support staff and visitors with clear communication and customer service. Guided by our agile, reliable, and innovative approach, you will work as a team and act with integrity every day.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a financial institution setting.
• Perform armed patrol duties in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, and location post orders, helping to deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation and timely notification to appropriate personnel and/or emergency services.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, including entrances, lobby areas, offices, and perimeter, documenting observations and reporting concerns through required channels.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor and/or vendor screening as required, maintaining accurate logs, incident reports, and other required documentation.

Minimum Requirements:

• A concealed carry weapons permit is required.
• At least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience is required.
• Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
