Engineering Technician, Failure Analysis, Electronic Devices

• Conduct hands-on failure analysis on failed parts, components, or systems
• Perform physical inspections, teardowns, disassembly, and sample preparation
• Collect, analyze, and interpret data to identify failure modes and root causes
• Document findings in detailed reports, including photos, measurements, and recommendations for corrective actions
• Manage device under test inventory, maintain test equipment, and ensure adherence to safety and regulatory standards
• Collaborate with hardware and firmware engineers to support product development and testing of autopilot and microcontroller electronic control units
• Perform rework, assembly, and debugging of prototype hardware, including basic printed circuit board assembly soldering

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the engineering industry
• Knowledge of electronic circuits, schematics, and assembly techniques
• Proven hands-on skills in assembling, disassembling, and modifying prototype hardware, with proficiency in basic printed circuit board assembly soldering and rework
• Experience using lab equipment, including multimeters, power supplies, and oscilloscopes
• Solid debugging and failure analysis skills for electronic circuits
• Ability to independently execute tests with minimal oversight from engineers
