Overview
Customer Security & Trust (CST) is Microsoft's multidisciplinary organization responsible for protecting customers, countering cybercrime and nationstate threats, advancing cybersecurity policy and compliance, and strengthening trust in the digital ecosystem. CST brings together policy, legal, threat intelligence, engineering, and national security expertise to help make the digital world safer and more trusted.
The CST Operations Engineering team is a small, collaborative and agile team that is at the center of this mission. We are looking for a
Software Engineer II who is passionate about building secure, reliable systems at massive scale by leveraging the power of
AI. In this role, you'll work at the intersection of
security, engineering excellence, and customer trust, helping design and deliver platforms that protect Microsoft's customers, services, and data.
You'll collaborate with world-class engineers, security experts, and product teams to solve hard problems-designing systems that are resilient by default, secure by design. If you thrive on technical depth, real-world impact, and engineering with purpose, this role is for you.

Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $100,600 - $199,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $131,400 - $215,400 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
