We are actively looking for a Civil Engineering/Urban Planning Intern to join our Charlotte office. As part of the resliancy team the Intern will work closely with the Charlotte-based team.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development of plans, specifications, and cost estimates for civil and urban planning projects
  • Conduct research and analysis related to urban development, transportation systems, and infrastructure
  • Support project teams with data collection, mapping, and report preparation
  • Help resolve design problems by performing preliminary design work and analysis
  • Participate in site visits and field investigations as needed
  • Collaborate with engineers, planners, and other professionals on multi-discipline projects
  • Prepare presentations and other communication materials for project updates

Qualifications:

  • Must be in pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or a related field from an accredited program
  • Demonstrated interest in civil engineering principles and urban development concepts
  • Proficiency in software such as AutoCAD, ArcGIS, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation).
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a motivation to learn
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • All new hires will be required to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check in compliance with NIST 800-171

Physical requirements:

Majority of work is office based. Some site visits may be required which may necessitate navigating unpaved or natural terrain while carrying equipment.
