Senior UI Developer

*This is an ON-SITE position at our Reston, VA office

Apptium is looking to hire an enthusiastic Senior UI Developer who can translate UI/UX design wireframes to actual code that will produce visual elements of the application. Closely working with the UX designer, UI developers will bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and defining how the application looks as well as how it works.

Role and responsibilities:

• Assist in development, implementation and enforcement of best practices for software development, product deployment.
• Produce technical specifications and documents that meet a customer's needs, by focusing on what business requirements need to be achieved and satisfied.
• Provide timely status on work in progress to senior management.
• Provide accurate estimates for proposed work and recommend potential alternatives when appropriate.
• Mentor and assist other developers with meeting client need and other projects
• Work and understand the product capabilities well enough to make the right decisions around design, configuration and implementation.
• Keep up with the latest technologies and trends and assist with recommendations on innovative solutions where needed.
• Be a part of the design review and raise appropriate questions with appropriate teams
• Participate and assist in the testing of the functionality.

Technical Experience:

• 6+ years of experience with JavaScript and Latest Versions Angular 7+ or similar frameworks
• Hands on web front-end skills - Your work demonstrates knowledge of web MVC/MVVM methodology. You have strong web front-end interaction development skills
• 4+ years of experience with HTML, CSS3, SCSS, Bootstrap, Angular Material, jQuery
• 4+ years of experience in Testing framework. Creating unit tests to ensure visual consistency and proper functionality across releases. Ensure cross-browser, cross-platform and multiple device type compatibility and resolve issues
• 4+ years of experience in RWD - should be strong at Responsive web design
• 4+ Years of experience in Experience with source control and repository management (bitbucket)
• Experience with frameworks including Backbone JS, Node JS
• Experience with JSON, swagger, Grunt, chrome developer tools, Sass, Browserify and Git
• Strong grasp of security principles and how they apply to integration with business layer
• CI/CD - Basic knowledge
• Working closely with back-end developers to ensure the integrity of the UI throughout the development life cycle
• Familiarity with concepts related to data flow and component driven architectures with practical experience based on Angular
