What we need

The Corporate Communications & Citizenship Manager reports to the Chief of Staff, Corporate Communications & Citizenship/Senior Director, Corporate Citizenship. This role provides operational management to ensure the seamless execution of the division's core functions and strategic priorities and initiatives. This position is responsible for managing the division's internal operating cadence, which includes business planning, budget oversight, performance reporting, and the development of meetings and events that drive divisional engagement. In addition to these foundational duties, this role will lead divisional projects, most notably the end-to-end production of annual reporting. This position requires a highly proactive and strategic thinker who can balance process management with project management and stakeholder engagement.

This position is eligible for the flex persona. If within 50 miles of a Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts office, the successful candidate will be required to work from the office 2 days per week.

Your Day to Day

  • Lead the end-to-end creation and launch of major external corporate publications, with a primary focus on the company's signature annual Impact Reportand its showcase of our environment, social and governance (ESG) commitment.
    • Establish the strategic project plan, key milestones, and master schedule to guide the development of each report from initial scoping through to final delivery.
    • Direct a cross-functional team of internal subject matter experts, creative teams, and digital specialists, while managing external vendors and overseeing the entire content review and approval process.
    • Partner with the marketing team to develop and execute a comprehensive promotional strategy that ensures a successful external launch and maximizes each report's reach.
  • Lead divisional operational planning and executive reporting cycle-including annual business plans, status reports, and quarterly priorities-by setting timelines, consolidating submissions, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), and developing and owning executive-level divisional performance narratives and reporting.
  • Coordinate the annual budget planning processand administer ongoing budget reporting by distributing monthly expenditure reports and consolidating quarterly forecasts.
  • Design and facilitate annual program of divisional meetings and eventsin partnership with division leadership by planning agendas, preparing materials, facilitating the meetings, and coordinating all pre- and post-meeting activities, ensuring they are productive and outcome-oriented.
  • Enhance business integration across the divisionby improving interdivisional communication and operational alignment.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining processes, workflows, and toolsto ensure efficient divisional operations, including identifying opportunities to leverage AI for enhanced productivity.

What You Bring

  • A bachelor's degree and 5-7+ years of experience in fields such as strategic planning, management consulting, corporate strategy, or project leadership.
  • A demonstrated track record of leading complex projects to successful completion with a high degree of autonomy, using systems-thinking to simplify ambiguity and drive results.
  • Exceptional analytical and strategic skills, with the ability to synthesize data into actionable insights and influence senior stakeholders with data-driven recommendations.
  • Superior communication and presentation skills, with a proven ability to craft and deliver clear, persuasive narratives for an executive audience.
  • Expert-level proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in creating executive-level presentations (PowerPoint) and data models (Excel).

LocationBoston Time TypeFull time Salary Range: $114,030.00 - $139,370.00

The job posting range is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs and affordability.

This job is also eligible for variable pay.
