Job Description:

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Water Truck Driver to join our team at TMS International. In this role, you will be responsible for operating water trucks to maintain proper dust control and ensure safety on the facility grounds. This position requires a keen attention to detail, the ability to work in an industrial environment, and adherence to safety guidelines.

Pay: $21/hr

Schedule: 4 on 4 off days

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a water truck to control dust in and around the steel mill.
• Perform regular inspections of the truck to ensure it is in safe working condition.
• Transport and apply water to areas requiring dust control.
• Assist with maintaining proper water levels in the truck throughout the shift.
• Ensure that all safety protocols and company procedures are followed at all times.
• Work closely with the operations team to identify areas needing additional water application.
• Perform basic maintenance and cleaning tasks on the truck as needed.
• Report any mechanical issues or accidents immediately to the supervisor.

Requirements:

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience in operating water trucks or similar vehicles in an industrial or construction setting (preferred).
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including exposure to outdoor weather conditions and potentially hazardous environments.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Previous experience working in a steel mill or industrial setting is a plus.
