Your Tasks

  • Participate in a structured, full-time development program to transition into third-party aerospace certification auditing
  • Perform supervised ISO 9001 and AS9100 audits within aerospace manufacturing and supply chain environments
  • Support on-site certification audits under the guidance of approved Aerospace Auditors and Lead Auditors
  • Evaluate quality management system compliance against AS9100D, ISO 9001, and applicable regulatory requirements
  • Document audit findings clearly and professionally in accordance with IAQG and certification body requirements
  • Build and maintain audit logs required for IAQG authentication and progression
  • Progress toward IAQG approval as an Aerospace Auditor (AA) and Aerospace Experienced Auditor (AEA)


Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Aerospace, Manufacturing, or a related technical discipline
  • Minimum of 8 years of full-time professional experience in the aerospace, aviation, or defense industry
  • Hands-on experience working within AS9100-certified environments
  • Strong working knowledge of:

    • AS9100D and ISO 9001
    • Aerospace manufacturing and supply chain processes
    • Regulatory and customer requirements (e.g., FAA, EASA, defense, aerospace OEMs)


  • Professional experience in one or more of the following:

    • Quality engineering or quality management
    • Supplier quality or supplier development
    • Manufacturing or process engineering
    • Production, operations, or site leadership within aerospace manufacturing


  • Experience supporting or participating in:

    • Internal audits
    • Supplier audits
    • Certification audits (auditee interaction or preparation)


  • Excellent command of English, both written and spoken
  • Based in the United States with authorization to work in the U.S.


Preferred:



  • Completed AS9100 internal or lead auditor training
  • Experience with aerospace OEMs or Tier 1 / Tier 2 suppliers
  • Exposure to multi-site or complex manufacturing operations
  • Experience with NADCAP, special processes, or highly regulated production environments
  • Prior interaction with certification bodies or third-party auditors
  • Documented log of audit participation (internal, supplier, or certification support)

Additional Information


  • The anticipated annual base pay range for this full-time position is $90,000 - 110,000. Actual base pay will be determined based on various factors, including years of relevant experience, training, qualifications, and internal equity. The compensation package may also include an annual bonus target, subject to eligibility and other requirements. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package to employees, including a 401(k) plan with employer match, up to 12 weeks of paid parental leave for birthing parents and 2 weeks for other parents, health plans (medical, dental, and vision), life insurance and disability, and generous paid time off.

  • This role is designed for experienced aerospace quality professionals who already meet typical IAQG eligibility expectations or are very close to meeting them.
  • Candidates without substantial aerospace industry experience cannot be considered
  • Target timeline for progression toward IAQG approval is approximately 6-12 months, depending on individual readiness and scheme requirements
  • Travel requirement: approximately 70%, primarily within the United States with occasional international travel
  • This position involves regular on-site work in manufacturing, production, and technical environments
