Manages the operation and profitability for a smaller size or single operation within the Oil Field Services or Inspection business. Provides day-to-day leadership to a team of technical specialists directly or through supervisor. Oversees workflow and ensures customers are regularly updated on progress of assignments.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensures location staff carry-out activities in accordance with individual customer instructions, Global Safety Manual, local standards/safety rules and Core Laboratories company policies
- Ensures that local operations are aligned to strategic direction and policies as determined by the company
- Lead, motivate and provide guidance to technical specialists and supervisors reporting into this position
- Ensures that financial targets (including DSO) and other agreed targets within the assigned operation are met
- Accountable for annual revenues up to roughly $3 million USD, usually under some direction of manager
- Responsible for managing teams and coordinating/supervising the daily activities of up to approximately 20 reports direct and indirect
- Maintains customer relationships, provides updates and handles their complaints and queries
- Supports sales and business development activities
- Provides input on resource planning and operational policy development.
- Prepares proposals for review by manager in relation to technical, financial and workforce management related matters
- Conducts staff performance reviews including assessment of training and development needs
- Ensures accurate administration of the order management system
- Acts independently; decision making within company policy
- Applies acquired expertise to analyze and solve problems without clear precedent.
- Additional duties to support operations may be required
QUALIFICATIONS
- University Degree in Business or Related Field
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience within Oil Field Services or Inspection industry
- Advanced ability to lead, motivate and challenge others
- Advanced communication, verbally and in writing with all relevant audiences
- Moderate understanding of financial statements, reporting and budgeting
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure including foreign currencies, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Advanced computer skills (MS Windows, Word, Excel, Company systems)
- Flexibility to prioritize and plan multiple work activities, using time effectively throughout the day
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
