Agile Scrum/Project Manager; NJ

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Technical Project Manager - Hybrid (3 days/week) position with a Global Financial Institution located in Jersey City, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This role is part of a horizontal program office responsible for the oversight and delivery of high-impact and regulatory data programs within the global markets organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and ensuring the seamless delivery of defined deliverables by engaging with multiple teams across the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, coordinate, and deliver defined deliverables which require engagement from multiple teams
• Communicate work objectives, coordinate delivery, manage risks, and ensure compliance to standards
• Provide end-to-end visibility into the health of deliverables, ensuring execution meets expectations in terms of functionality, quality, timeline, and cost
• Coordinate and facilitate routines to support delivery such as kick-offs, status reviews, stakeholder meetings, and change controls
• Drive, track, and plan execution activities for regulatory projects
• Facilitate dependency management, risk management, and impediment removal
• Promote communication and collaboration across organizations to support deliverable completion
• Adhere to enterprise change standards for program and project management
• Manage program budget including monthly forecasting, variance commentary, and resource allocations
• Lead program delivery management routines and provide leadership support for senior-level portfolio deliverables, reporting, and management routines
• Manage risk and controls for the organization

Requirements:

• 6-10 years of experience in managing technical projects
• Strong business, technology, and program/project management acumen
• Results-oriented with the ability to develop and manage relationships based on trust, teamwork, and knowledge
• Proven ability to resolve program and project issues and mitigate risk by negotiating solutions that meet expected results
• Skilled at managing scope, schedule, project schedules, risks, issues, and interdependencies impacting the program/project
• Ability to create executive-quality materials within tight timeframes with limited direction
• Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills at an executive level
• Proficient with standard tools such as PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, etc

Desired skills:

• Background in the financial industry
• Experience and tolerance to work iteratively in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to connect dots and articulate clear and concise status and action plans to resolve issues and risks
• Ability to confidently lead meetings and discussions to drive program and project deliverables

Pay rate: $68.38 - $76.38 per hour
