Part-Time After-School Youth Staff We Call Our Educators! This part-time position details: Location: Located inside the Alamo Heights School locations Start Date: Immediate Starting to pay $13.00-$15.00 per hour site staff (based on number of years of experience in group childcare setting and education in related field, although not required) Monday through Friday-No Weekends (Must be able to work Monday through Friday) Before and After School- 6:30 am- 8:00 am and return 3:00 pm-6:30 pm, and Full Day on student holidays/school closure days. Split-Shift Schedule/Hours: (now through the end of May) Required Monday through Friday split-shift availability: see below School Year Part-Time Split-Shift Schedule: (From now through the end of May, we will continue with the current school year split-shift schedule. Starting in June, we will shift into the summer camp schedule, which will remain in effect through August. Following the conclusion of summer camp, we will return to the school year schedule for the start of the new academic year.) - Morning shift: 6:30 am to 8:00 am - Afternoon shift: 2:45 pm to 6:00 pm (times may vary slightly) Summer Schedule: (Late May through August): Once summer camp begins, your part-time shift will occur between 6:00 am and 6:00 pm. The specific hours during this window will be determined between you and the area manager. Requirements: Ability to meet state-specific requirements Full availability Monday through Friday At least six months of work in a licensed group childcare center or school. First Aid and CPR-in-person (if required- ability to obtain within 30 days of employment) 18+ years of age Proof of a high school diploma/GED required You'll drive the mission by: Daily Program Meetings: Each day, review goals and updates, share ideas, discuss professional progress, encourage collaboration, and team accountability. Organize and Facilitate Daily Activities: Prepare activities and curriculum for the day, ensuring they align with the program's objectives. Organize and lead structured daily fitness, activities, and curriculum; that are both educational and enjoyable for all ages. Leading by Example: Maintain a safe and nurturing environment, ensuring children are enjoying themselves while also meeting program goals. You will achieve this by modeling positive guidance and effective classroom management. Prioritize Safety and Joy: Monitor the environment, address potential hazards, and follow all safety protocols. These may include documenting attendance, incidents, and other observations. Communication: Effective communication with a varied audience, including children, parents, staff, and school personnel.
