Position Overview
We are seeking a versatile, proactive, and detail-oriented IT Administrator to join our team. In this role, you will serve as the primary technical resource responsible for the administration, security, and reliability of our cloud and on-premise infrastructure. The ideal candidate possesses hands-on experience with the Microsoft 365 ecosystem including Microsoft Entra ID, SharePoint, Defender, and Intune as well as proficiency in enterprise networking hardware such as switches, routers, and firewalls. This position also encompasses help desk support, hardware and software procurement, and the management of associated vendor relationships.

Cloud & Systems Administration
  • Microsoft 365 Administration: Administer the Microsoft 365 platform, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive for Business. Configure and maintain tenant-level settings, service health, and licensing.
  • Identity & Access Management: Manage user identities, groups, roles, and permissions through Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory). Enforce least-privilege access principles and conduct periodic access reviews.
  • Device Management: Deploy, secure, and manage company-owned laptops and mobile devices using Microsoft Intune, including AutoPilot enrollment, Configuration Profiles, and Compliance Policies.
  • Azure Infrastructure: Monitor, maintain, and optimize basic Azure cloud resources, integrations, and service configurations to support business continuity.
Technical Support & Hardware
  • Help Desk Operations: Serve as the primary point of contact for all technical issues, providing timely, professional resolution for both remote and on-site staff. Track and document incidents using a ticketing system.
  • Hardware Maintenance: Perform break/fix tasks on desktops, laptops, and printers, including component replacement, operating system imaging, and hardware upgrades.
  • New Hire Technical Onboarding: Manage the end-to-end technical onboarding process for new employees, encompassing hardware procurement, account provisioning, system access, and orientation to IT tools and policies.
Networking & Cybersecurity
  • Network Operations: Manage, monitor, and troubleshooting LAN/WAN environments, Wi-Fi access points, managed switches, and firewalls to ensure reliable and secure network performance.
  • Cybersecurity & Compliance: Implement and monitor cybersecurity best practices, including Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), endpoint detection and response (EDR), patch management, and security awareness initiatives.
  • Data Protection & Backup: Administer and validate enterprise backup solutions. Conduct regular disaster recovery tests to verify data integrity and restoration procedures.
  • Physical Security Systems: Manage access control systems (electronic door and gate locks) and maintain camera surveillance operations to support facility security protocols.
Vendor & Procurement Management
  • Coordinate hardware and software procurement in alignment with organizational budgets and standards.
  • Maintain and manage relationships with technology vendors, service providers, and support partners.
  • Evaluate new technologies and recommend solutions that improve operational efficiency and security posture.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position currently has no direct supervisory responsibilities. The IT Administrator may provide guidance and direction to contracted IT personnel or third-party vendors as needed.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor of Science in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and directly relevant work experience.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of progressive experience in system administration or senior-level IT support.
Required Skills & Competencies
  • Microsoft 365: Demonstrated experience with the M365 Admin Center, Microsoft Entra ID, and Microsoft Intune.
  • Networking: Thorough understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN technologies, firewall administration, and VLANs.
  • Hardware: Proven ability to diagnose, disassemble, repair, and upgrade PC hardware components.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Problem Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to work independently and prioritize competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Active industry certifications such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with ERP software commonly used in sales and distribution environments.
  • Experience with third-party software deployment tools (e.g., PDQ Deploy or PDQ Inventory).
  • Experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms beyond Intune.

  • May require after-hours, weekend, or on-call availability to respond to critical system incidents.
