Product Manager- Quartz

This position requires a candidate who can quickly master a technical product sold into a relatively mature but broad application/customer base. The ideal candidate should have excellent prioritization, organization, analysis, and communication skills, and be comfortable contributing to a global team with diverse backgrounds and skills in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support quotation of new business opportunities through guidelines provided by senior product managers, emphasizing rapid responsiveness to sales and inside sales representatives to drive customer satisfaction.

  • Own material master interactions including new product introduction workflows and related process improvements, development of material master structures for new product initiatives, and ongoing resolution of any material master issues.

  • Coordinate with commercial excellence leader on initiatives to improve inside sales representative productivity and customer responsiveness, including quotation tools, lead and quote result tracking, slow-moving inventory promotion, etc.

  • Facilitate between inside sales representatives or sales leaders and supply chain team on expedite requests and production prioritization (with support of product manager).

  • Participate in regular operating mechanisms of product management team around pricing management (annual price updates, etc.) and lead time communications for inside sales teams.

  • Support margin and pricing trend analysis within product lines and across customer mix to help identify improvement opportunities through better cost tracking or pricing / mix actions.

  • Support quality team and product management on customer documentation including certificates of conformance and analysis or customer-driven surveys as required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.

  • 3-5 years of experience in a commercial, supply chain, operations, or product management support role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.

  • Experience supporting quotation, pricing, order, or customer request workflows using defined guidelines or approval frameworks.

  • Strong analytical capability, including proficiency in Excel and experience working with pricing, cost, margin, or volume data.

  • Experience working in ERP or masterdata-driven systems (SAP preferred), including exposure to material master data or new material setup processes.

  • Ability to coordinate effectively with sales, supply chain, operations, and quality teams to support timesensitive commercial and operational requests.

  • Strong attention to detail, process discipline, and ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks.

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills for internal coordination and customer documentation support.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Educational background or prior experience in engineering, materials science, chemistry, physics, or another technical discipline.

  • Exposure to engineered or manufactured products, preferably within industrial, semiconductor, or materialsbased markets.

  • Experience supporting new product introduction activities, SKU setup, or product lifecycle administration.

  • Familiarity with pricing support activities such as margin analysis, cost tracking, annual price update preparation, or pricing exception analysis.

  • Experience with quotation tools, CRM systems, lead/quote tracking, or commercial productivity improvement initiatives.

  • Demonstrated ability to learn technical products quickly and apply that understanding to support commercial, operational, or documentation needs.

Key Relationships:

  • Product Management - Primary daytoday interaction. Works closely with Product Managers and Senior Product Managers to support quotation activities, material master management, pricing processes, documentation, and analysis.

  • Inside Sales / Customer Service - Frequent interaction to support quoting responsiveness, lead time communication, documentation requests, and commercial process execution.

  • Supply Chain / Operations - Regular coordination to support expedite requests, production prioritization, material availability, and lead time inputs, with escalation and guidance from Product Management as needed.

  • Sales Team (Field Sales / Sales Leadership) - Periodic interaction to support customer requests, clarify product or pricing details, and ensure alignment on commercial execution.

  • Finance - Limited but recurring interaction to support margin analysis, pricing metrics, and data validation related to cost, pricing, and mix trends.

  • Quality - As needed, to support certificates of conformance, customer documentation, and customer-driven surveys.

Travel Requirements:

  • Limited travel requirements, less than 5%.

Working Conditions:

  • This position is office-based and located in Northeast Ohio, with the expectation that the individual will maintain an on-site office at one of Momentive's NE Ohio facilities

  • The role involves regular on-site interaction with cross-functional teams including Product Management, Inside Sales, Supply Chain, and Quality

  • Hybrid work arrangements may be available in accordance with Company policy and business needs; eligibility and schedule are determined by management.

  • Occasional travel to other Momentive facilities or customer locations may be required.

Our Product Manager- Quartz will earn a variable compensation including base salary and bonus. Base salary range takes into consideration experience, education, and training. Not to mention all the amazing benefits available for employee selection as well.
