Senior Experience Designer

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Experience Designer - Onsite position with a Major Financial Institution located in Pittsburgh, PA, Phoenix, AZ, Denver, CO, or Strongsville, OH. This is a 12+ month contract to hire opportunity.

This role is a foundational contributor within a newly formed product organization focused on building shared, reusable enterprise platforms. The team builds and manages enterprise-wide communication and platform capabilities, such as communication hubs, document management systems, and workflow automation. The ideal candidate will help shape team norms and product practices while working in a fast-moving environment, transforming complex tasks into intuitive and easy-to-use designs.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and guide the discovery of customer and business needs through contextual inquiries and research
• Transform complex tasks into intuitive, accessible, and easy-to-use designs through the entire experience lifecycle
• Set the design direction and strategy, communicating initiatives through user journeys, storyboards, prototypes, and wireframes
• Work closely with business analysts, business sponsors, project managers, and IT teams to obtain and understand business requirements
• Create the design of user interface specifications by applying client research, design standards, and industry best practices
• Participate in design review sessions with project teams to acquire consensus and approval on designs
• Collaborate closely with engineering during the build phase, validate solutions through feedback, and ensure consistency with enterprise design standards
• Act as a user experience advocate for the principles of user-centered design

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in human factors/usability, a related discipline, or equivalent work experience
• 5-8 years of related experience
• Strong proficiency with Figma (or equivalent) for wireframing, high-fidelity designs, and prototyping
• Experience designing for enterprise or platform-based products, including complex workflows and multi-user journeys
• Hands-on experience working with or contributing to design systems, ensuring consistency and scalability
• Proven ability to collaborate closely with Product Owners and Engineering throughout discovery, design, and delivery
• Proven understanding of user-centered design (UCD) techniques and principles
• Demonstrated ability in gathering and translating requirements from business sponsors, SMEs, users, and business analysts
• Knowledge of web client technologies (browsers, HTML, CSS)
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop

Desired skills:

• Experience conducting or supporting user research and usability testing
• Familiarity with financial services or regulated industries
• Experience helping define UX standards, principles, or patterns for a new product organization
• Background designing reusable, component-based experiences for enterprise platforms

Pay range: $37.41 - $45.41 per hour
