This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, staying organized, and being the go-to person for keeping things running smoothly. There is plenty of room for growth and the compensation is competitive for the Albany area. This is primarily an office-based role with occasional local or out-of-state customer visits, including potential overnight stays. What You'll Be Doing Customer Service & Sales Support * Prepare and maintain daily sales, shipment, and backlog reports * Track daily shipments, deliveries, and order status and proactively communicate updates to customers * Receive, review, and process customer orders accurately and in a timely manner * Manage customer returns and issue resolution in coordination with Quality, Production, and Logistics teams * Communicate professionally with customers regarding order status, delivery timing, documentation, and issues * Coordinate shipping schedules and special customer requirements * Maintain accurate customer and order records in SAP and internal systems * Support the Accounts Receivable team with customer follow-ups and collections Sales & Customer Relationship Support * Develop meaningful relationships with customers to encourage trust and loyalty * Support sales managers with customer communication and follow-ups * Reach out to existing customers regarding repeat orders or additional needs * Follow up on leads to further the sales process * Assist with customer visits when required * Attend industry trade shows and sector events as needed What We're Looking For * 1-3 years of experience in inside sales, customer service, sales support, or order management * High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred * Manufacturing or industrial environment experience preferred * Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple daily priorities * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Comfortable working with reports, spreadsheets, and operational data * Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) * Experience with SAP or a similar CRM/ERP system is a plus * Ability to work in a plant/office environment and follow safety requirements Work Environment Work is conducted in a plant environment that may involve exposure to noise and moving mechanical parts. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Albany, NY. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $29.00 - $30.00/hr.
