*Patient Service Specialist (Front Desk) - On-Site | Physical Therapy Clinic* We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Patient Service Specialist to join a busy physical therapy clinic. This is a front desk, patient-facing role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment and enjoys providing excellent service.
*Position Overview* As a Patient Service Specialist, you will be the first point of contact for patients, supporting day-to-day front office operations. You will balance patient interactions, administrative tasks, and phone support while working closely with physicians and clinical staff. *Key Responsibilities* * Greet patients and manage check-in and check-out processes * Perform patient registration and maintain accurate records * Schedule appointments and coordinate follow-ups * Answer and manage incoming phone calls, assisting patients with questions or requests * Verify insurance information and assist with patient account needs * Document patient information and provider notes in the EMR system * Provide exceptional customer service in a high-volume environment * Support physicians and clinical staff with administrative needs *Qualifications* *Required:* * Previous experience in customer service or front desk roles * Experience in a medical or healthcare environment * Strong communication and multitasking skills * Comfortable working with computers and data entry systems *Preferred:* * Experience with patient registration and insurance verification * Familiarity with EMR systems * Knowledge of medical terminology * Experience handling inbound calls in a fast-paced setting *Work Environment & Schedule* * On-site role in a busy physical therapy clinic * Work closely with physicians and clinical staff * Independent front desk role supporting multiple providers *Schedule:* * Monday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM * Tuesday: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM * Wednesday: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM * Thursday: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM * Friday: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM * Free parking available *Compensation & Benefits* * *Pay Rate:* $19.00 per hour * *Employment Type:* Contract-to-hire (4 months) * Overtime eligible at 1.5x pay *Benefits may include:* * Medical, dental, and vision coverage * 401(k) retirement plan * Life and disability insurance *Career Growth* This role offers long-term growth opportunities within healthcare administration.
