What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to the appropriate contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the residential community, including common areas, entrances, roadways, and perimeter locations, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual behavior.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry as directed by site-specific policies, while maintaining a professional presence in an armed patrol role and following all post orders related to assigned equipment.
• Communicate with residents, property staff, and/or local first responders when needed regarding security-related concerns, disturbances, and/or suspicious activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess an armed guard card and guard card.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Minimum of 1 year armed experience, military, corrections and law enforcement.
• Degree in Criminal Justice
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
