Responsibilities

We currently have a great opportunity available for a Hemostasis Strategic Consultant (HSC). The Hemostasis Strategic Consultant (HSC) is responsible for all hemostasis sales activities in their sales territory. The HSC coordinates with HSAMs (Health System Account Managers), Corporate Account Executives (CAEs), Technical Service, Marketing, and corporate members on all sales activities to accomplish the annual sales goals of the corporation. The HSC assists in the prospecting, positioning, and sale of Sysmex hemostasis' total solution. The emphasis of the HSC is overall hemostasis sales account management (Reagents, Digital and Hardware).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Total Solution Selling (Reagents, Digital and Hardware): Formulates and executes a detailed Territory Plan to achieve annual sales objectives, in close collaboration with the Health System Account Managers (HSAMs) and Regional Sales Directors (RSDs). Navigates the full sales lifecycle-from prospecting and qualifying to complex negotiations and closing, positioning Sysmex's superiority over the competition. This includes reagent channel filling in existing accounts.
2. Cross-Functional Leadership: Drives strong collaboration with a cross-functional team, including HSAMs, Support, Marketing, Corporate Accounts and Consulting teams. Demonstrates "Lateral Leadership" to align internal stakeholders and win high-value contracts.
3. Strategic Positioning: Presents the Sysmex "Lab-of-the-Future" Specialty vision, emphasizing how our hemostasis portfolio integrates with specialty testing, automation, and digital solutions.
4. Technical Advocacy: Delivers Clinical, Operational, and Financial (COF) presentations to all levels of hospital management, positioning Sysmex's superiority.
5. Administrative Excellence: Maintains rigorous Customer Relationship Management (CRM) discipline to ensure all account information is up to date and use data-driven tactics to move opportunities through the funnel, as well as contribute to nurturing a strong opportunity funnel.
6. Utilizes independent decision-making and rigorous analytical techniques to deliver Territory growth, while building robust formal frameworks for collaboration among diverse groups
7. Administers the proper and responsible use of the company assets and operates within the company guidelines.
8. Stays up-to-date on market trends and competitive intelligence to stay informed and adapt sales strategies for maximum effectiveness.
9. Maintains a high-impact field presence of average 4 days per week to advance opportunities forward and drive client relationships.
10. Other duties as assigned.

Percentage of Travel: 70%



Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree or 7 years required experience in medical sales or laboratory sciences which may include experience in the Armed Forces. Bachelor's degree with a specialization in Business or Science preferred.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record (MVR) as a condition of operating company vehicles.

  • 7 years of proven sales experience is preferable and Medical Technologist degree is favorable

  • English

  • Windows, Excel, Word, PowerPoint

  • Strategic Thinking: Capability to distill a customer's long-term vision and position Sysmex as a long-term partner rather than just a vendor.

  • Deep Technical Knowledge: Ability to explain the science behind multi-wavelength detection, automated rerun/reflex testing, and how these technologies drive lab efficiency and patient care.

  • Competitive Displacement: Skills to uncover "latent pain" in competitive accounts, using investigative sales tactics to challenge the status quo.

  • Executive Presence: Professional gravitas and the ability to maintain credibility when challenged by high level buying influencers in high-stakes environments.

  • Strong interpersonal skills; persuasive; good oral and written communication skills

  • Very customer centered.

  • Demonstrate maturity, professionalism and tact with customers and Sysmex associates.
  • Key ability to identify, qualify and close a sales opportunity.
  • Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency, can do attitude and strong desire to achieve goals.
  • Team-oriented - Ability to work effectively with others.

The salary range for this role is $125,000-$165,000. Within this range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The total compensation package for this position also includes a choice of health care plan (medical, vision, and dental insurance), an annual incentive bonus, fleet vehicle, paid time off, parental leave, bereavement leave and a 401(K) for all eligible employees.

This job requires satisfaction of the credentialing requirements of Sysmex's customers, including hospitals and other healthcare facilities, which generally includes proof of current vaccinations for measles, mumps, rubella, varicella (chicken pox), and COVID-19.
