Sr. PlatformEngineer Job Locations
US-Remote
Overview LMI, a trusted government contractor with decades of experience delivering cutting-edge solutions, is seeking a driven and innovative Platform Engineer to help build and extend IronGate, an ETL solution focused on moving data from commercial environments into secure environments. You'll be an initial member of a small, cross-functional team maintaining this product on contract. This position requires the ability to obtain a clearance; U.S. citizenship is required. This role requires quarterly travel for in person team planning and collaboration events. This isn't a maintain-the-backlog role. You'll work across the stack, own features end-to-end, and help shape how this solution is built for long term success for our clients. About This Team IronGate sits within LMI's Chief Technology Office. We're a small, high-visibility team building an ETL for federal agencies. The culture is more startup than traditional government contractor; we move fast, solve problems in design spikes rather than scheduled reviews, and care more about outcomes than process. That said, we're building for users who need reliability and trust, so craft and attention to detail matter. You'll work daily with our Product Manager, Engineering Lead, and Product Team. The roadmap for IronGate is still being formed, so you'll be joining during a great time to help forge our path forward. LMI is a new breed of digital solutions provider dedicated to accelerating government impact with innovation and speed. Investing in technology and prototypes ahead of need, LMI brings commercial-grade platforms and mission-ready AI to federal agencies at commercial speed. Leveraging our mission-ready technology and solutions, proven expertise in federal deployment, and strategic relationships, we enhance outcomes for the government, efficiently and effectively. With a focus on agility and collaboration, LMI serves the defense, space, healthcare, and energy sectors-helping agencies navigate complexity and outpace change. Headquartered in Tysons, Virginia, LMI is committed to delivering impactful results that strengthen missions and drive lasting value. Responsibilities
