Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY), an organization affiliated withNYC Health + Hospitals, is adding an Assistant Director, Talent Acquisition. PAGNY is one of the largest physician groups in New York State and directly employs nearly 4,000 physicians and allied health professionals who serve seven of New York City's public hospitals, numerous public health community-based practices, and the city's Correctional Health Service.

The Assistant Director of Talent Acquisition provides operational leadership for the company's recruiting activities and assists in executing the company-wide recruitment strategy. The Assistant Director implements innovative sourcing solutions to ensure PAGNY recruits the best available talent; directly manages, develops, and coaches the recruitment team to achieve execution goals; and tracks metric-driven success measurements throughout the year. This role maintains relationships with recruitment partners to ensure cost-efficient objectives and collaborates across HR leadership to optimize the onboarding process for an excellent new hire experience.

Opportunity Details:

  • Assists in developing PAGNY's overall Talent Acquisition strategy and executes operational plans for senior or key specialty positions in a high-volume healthcare environment.
  • Implements cost-effective, creative sourcing channels and pipeline development techniques to ensure continuous candidate flow.
  • Manages daily recruiting operations to ensure effective coverage and support for all open positions.
  • Cultivates and maintains relevant industry and community relationships to generate high-quality candidate leads.
  • Provides direct guidance to hiring managers and recruiters, recommending creative and tailored sourcing and selection strategies.
  • Oversees day-to-day relationships with internal and external partners and represents PAGNY at key recruiting and networking events.
  • Ensures recruitment staff utilize best-practice assessment, interviewing, and selection techniques.
  • Assist in leading a team of recruiting professionals, removes operational barriers, evaluates individual performance, and provides daily coaching.
  • Identifies and drives operational process improvements with a focus on streamlining workflows and system integration.
  • Generates and analyzes accurate metrics (hard and soft data), maintains monthly KPI dashboard to inform on recruiting achievements and progress reports for leadership.
  • Evolves local talent processes to enhance the candidate, leader, and employee experience.
  • Develops a deep understanding of core business operations and functional needs across all enterprise site locations.
  • Travels periodically between New York City (NYC) site locations, as required.
  • Required to be in the office in Manhattan a minimum of 4days a week.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree.
  • 6-8+ years of experience in Talent Acquisition, with at least 3 years in a healthcare environment and 3+ years of direct supervisory or team management experience.
  • Proven experience implementing complex talent acquisition strategies and handling high-volume recruitment.
  • Strong understanding of leading practices, labor market trends, and compliance laws in healthcare recruitment.
  • Advanced applicant tracking system experience required (Paycom experience preferred).
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook).
