Intern will assist with the following duties under direct supervision of IPG Medical production and research personnel:



  • Conduct laboratory experiments with prototypes of medical products, light-tissue interaction and diagnostics
  • Collect experimental data from laboratory experiments and summarize results in test reports
  • Set up, carry out and generate reports of experiments, troubleshooting, and manufacturing testing of medical device products
  • Perform inspection of medical components
  • Monitor and manipulate the instruments and processes being used to test medical device products, including assembling, calibrating, improving, and performing maintenance on test equipment
  • Maintain cleanliness of work and common areas
  • Organize lab facilities, paper and electronic records

Skills Desired:



  • Ability to use lab equipment, such as, e.g., PCB soldering stations, wire cutters/strippers, screwdrivers, tape measure, wrenches and other small hand tools
  • Ability to move and lift components weighing 20 lbs. maximum


Education Required:



  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • You must be a student currently enrolled in a program directly related to our business operations at an accredited college or university

  • Must be analytical, observant, patient and communicative when it comes to the precise nature of their work
  • Works well in a team environment and as an individual contributor
