We're looking for a talented and motivated Software Engineer II to join our Web Platform Team and help build the foundations that enable teams across the organization to deliver modern, scalable, and accessible web experiences.This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys working on platform architecture, developer experience, build systems, and engineering enablement. Rather than focusing on individual product features, you'll build and maintain the shared frameworks, libraries, tooling, and deployment capabilities that power WGU's Angular-based web applications. You'll work closely with application teams, architects, DevOps engineers, and fellow platform engineers to improve development workflows, establish engineering standards, and ensure our front-end ecosystem remains scalable, maintainable, and efficient. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who wants to deepen their expertise in modern web technologies, platform engineering, CI/CD automation, and large-scale enterprise front-end architecture while supporting a mission-driven organization focused on student success.
