Description

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

- Answer the main telephone, screen calls, and greet visitors while providing excellent customer service.

- Provide general administrative support to various departments (company mailers, copying, filing, data entry, etc.)

- Manage the receipt and delivery of daily mail.

- Order, maintain and track kitchen/office supplies.

- Run miscellaneous office errands.

- Take payments from customers and record appropriately.

- Schedule and coordinate conference rooms, meetings, and staff lunches.

- Conduct new hire orientation and assist the HR team.

- Order and manage Knife River apparel and merchandise for employee store and events.

- Process billing adjustments, collections on accounts and prepare waivers.

- Organize, edit and process tickets from material orders.

- Process and send Notice of Right to a Lien notices for projects, subcontractors, etc.

- Review and process monthly credit card logs for management (TurboCC).

- Assist with various special projects for management and all operating departments (including scheduling travel).

- Assure all safety policies and procedures are followed to prevent any and all unsafe actions, processes and behaviors observed.

- Other duties assigned as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

- High School diploma or equivalent required.

- At least 2 years' experience in an administrative position.

- Thorough knowledge of standard administrative functions and equipment.

- Strong computer skills including experience using Microsoft products.

- Ability to perform a variety of work assignments, manage multiple priorities and work independently.

- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

- Impeccable attention to detail.

- Integrity, professionalism, discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality is essential.

- A valid Oregon driver's license with a clean driving record. This position may require some travel.

- Ability to work flexible shifts.

- Display a professional and courteous attitude towards all team members and customers.

- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.

- Previous construction and/or HR experience helpful.
