What to Expect
The Kitchen Supervisor oversees the day-to-day back of house operations of our 24-hour diner, ensuring food quality, safety, labor efficiency, and team performance consistently meet the brand's established standards. This role works in close collaboration with front of house leadership to deliver a seamless and exceptional guest experience across all shifts.

What You'll Do
  • Write, post, train on, and audit all back of house procedures to ensure uniform taste, portioning, and presentation each shift
  • Own health code adherence, temperature logs, sanitation schedules, and lead inspections/ corrective actions
  • Approve and monitor rosters, match staffing to forecasted volume, and control productivity without sacrificing quality
  • Direct cooks, prep, and dish staff; provide on the spot coaching, conduct performance reviews, and manage training/discipline
  • Oversee receiving, FIFO rotation, regular counts, and implement prep planning to minimize waste
  • Communicate kitchen capacity, menu changes, and constraints to front of house leaders; participate in pre and post shift briefings

What You'll Bring
  • 3+ years in a high-volume kitchen, with 1+ year in a supervisory or lead role, or equivalent experience
  • Culinary school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to upholding food quality and safety standards across all shifts
  • Proven ability to coach, resolve conflict, and effectively manage a rotating team in a 24/7 environment
  • Proficient in Point of Sale and kitchen ticketing systems, inventory software, and basic equipment maintenance
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments
  • Proactive problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced, always-open environment while balancing quality and labor efficiency

    Expected Compensation
    $15.16 - $28.16/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
