Title: Compensation Analyst Executive Area: Human Resources College/School/MBU: Human Resources Department: Human Resources Work Location: Amherst Schedule: Full Time Work Arrangement:Hybrid or Remote Job Summary The Compensation Analyst works as part of a team to administer UMass Amherst's compensation programs including job design, classification, market pricing, pay analysis and policy application, ensuring alignment with applicable laws and collective bargaining agreements. Consults with campus partners and HR Business Partners on compensation-related matters and supports projects and initiatives. Essential Functions Performs job analysis and classification for a wide variety of jobs across job families and bargaining units, applying established guidelines and utilizing internal and external equity factors. Other Functions Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of compensation or related analytical experience. Preferred Qualifications Professional certification (CCP, SHRM-CP, etc.). Working Conditions Work is performed in a standard office or indoor university environment and involves minimal physical exertion. Work Schedule and Work Arrangement Monday through Friday 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM. This position has the opportunity for a hybrid work schedule, which is defined by the University as an arrangement where an employee's work is regularly performed at a location other than the campus workspace for a portion of the week. As this position is non-unit, it is subject to the terms and conditions of the University of Massachusetts Board of Trustees Non-Unit (Professional/or Classified) Employee Personnel Policy. This position has the opportunity for a remote work schedule, which is defined by the University as an arrangement where the employee's work location is to work from a site other than the UMass Amherst campus. As this position is non-unit, it is subject to the terms and conditions of the University of Massachusetts Board of Trustees Non-Unit (Professional/or Classified) Employee Personnel Policy.
