THE ROLE:

Our team is currently seeking aTest EngineeringTechnician for our lab developing new,cutting-edgeGPU technology who can drive the local execution of standardized workflows. You will work closely with cross-functionalteamswithin the Services andEngineeringorganizations.

THE PERSON:

You bring a wide range of abilities and skills to the table, including semiconductor chip technology knowledge and strong experience in a lab environment. Your approach iscollaborativeand you shine in teamwork, relationship building, and supporting diverse internal customers across organizations and functions working both independently and within a team.

You balance strong technical skills including server hardware, racks, IT, cabling management, X-rayscopes,and work at thecomponentlevel with strong interpersonal and communications skills.You are known as analytical and highly attentive to detail, self-motivated and as a positive, humble 'results driven' team player.

You are committed to meeting deadlines, and bring enthusiasm to fast-paced, multi-project situations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage server upgrades,repairs,automated OS provisioning process,andrebuildprojects asrequired, often working withServicesandEngineeringteams.

• Install, configure,troubleshoot, andmaintainvarious server and coolant platforms.

• Performs diagnostics and troubleshooting following standardprocedures.

• Follow procedures to communicate, report, and escalate incidents toappropriate AMDLeadership

• Reliability Testing, including setting up and executing a variety of environmental and mechanical stress tests according to defined protocols (shock and vibration, EMCI, Temp Cycling and more)

• Foster a positive team environment by sharing information,participatingin meetings, asking questions, and staying informed on teamupdates.

• Ability tolift upto 35 pounds, safely climb ladders, wear personal protective and ESD gear correctly, and stand and walk throughout the facility for extended periods without loss or reduction ofproductivity.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Previous hands on experience testing and troubleshooting semiconductor GPUs, switches, and CPUs in a data center lab environment.
• Previous experience with leading Technicians

• Experience with MS Excel, Word,PowerPoint, and Pivot Tables

• Demonstrated effective and collaborative communication and teamworkexperience.

• Experience and ability to work autonomouslyorcollaboratively within a team environment to support Lab teams, Engineering,andServices

• Surface Mount Technology (SMT) solderingand repair onmultilayer PCBs

• Inspection of solder joints using microscopy and X-raymicroscopes

• Work with lab tools (e.g.: diagnostics, tests, and standard semiconductor industry hardware and software)

• Experience with Windows Server OS

• Experience with Linux PXE services a plus

• High attention to detail, and commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

• Associate degree in computer science, computer engineering, Informationtechnologyor equivalent experience preferred.

• CompTIA A+ or equivalent experience.

• CompTIA Server+ or equivalent experience.

• Windows OS experience.

• MCP/MSCE certification preferred.

• Scriptingexperience preferred - PowerShell, Python, Bash.

Location: Secaucus, NJ

1st shift from M-F, 9:00am - 6:00pm ET or 2^nd shift from 2:30pm - 11:00pm ET.
