Job Summary

This position develops a rolling 24-month unit and revenue demand forecast for assigned customers. The Demand Planning Manager will create and maintain statistical forecast models while incorporating sales business intelligence. The aligned demand plan will provide desired accuracy levels to drive optimal inventory and service rates in support of business plans and objectives. Forecast development is a highly collaborative process, requiring strong cross-functional leadership, effective communication, and close partnership with sales and other key stakeholders.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead the cross-functional demand forecasting process for assigned customer accounts by incorporating customer-specific insights and business intelligence from Sales and Marketing.
  • Develop and maintain a rolling 24-month demand plan (units and revenue) at item level using statistical and machine learning-based forecasting models.
  • Build and refine statistical forecast models to achieve best-in-class accuracy at the SKU, location, and weekly levels.
  • Monitor and analyze shipment and POS data to identify trends, variability, and demand drivers, including external factors such as competitive activity and customer inventory strategies.
  • Partner closely with Sales teams to integrate account-specific insights into the forecast, including:

    • Planogram changes
    • New product launches and cannibalization
    • Promotional plans
    • POS and shipment trends


  • Facilitate and lead monthly forecast consensus meetings with Sales and cross-functional stakeholders, providing clear data-driven recommendations to achieve alignment.

    • Document key assumptions driving forecast changes
    • Identify and communicate risks and opportunities within the demand plan


  • Participate in the monthly Demand Review as part of the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process.
  • Maintain critical SAP master data to ensure the accuracy and integrity of demand plans.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Operations, Marketing, and Customer Service to align demand and supply plans.
  • Monitor and report on key forecast performance metrics (e.g., accuracy, bias), and implement corrective actions to continuously improve forecast quality.
  • Proactively manage system-generated alerts related to forecast variability and bias.
  • Contribute to the development of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) forecast for assigned customers.
  • Effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Education and Experience Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field required
  • 5+ years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, supply chain, or a related analytical role
  • Experience with SAP IBP or similar advanced forecasting systems preferred

Required Skills

  • Demonstrated experience with statistical forecasting and demand planning methodologies
  • Solid understanding of demand planning systems; SAP IBP experience strongly preferred
  • Strong cross-functional leadership and influencing skills
  • Proven ability to manage conflict, facilitate problem-solving, and drive alignment across stakeholders
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of the organization
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; working knowledge of other Microsoft Office tools
  • Highly organized with strong multitasking and prioritization skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

Work Environment

This position is hybrid with minimal travel requirements. When onsite, working conditions are normal for an office environment.
