Clinical Assistant Professor, Audiologist

Nazareth University announces the opportunity to join a collegial team of faculty who value contributions to the success of students and the department. The University and the Department of Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences invite applications for a full-time (9-month, fall and spring semesters), non-tenure track Clinical Assistant Professor position in Audiology beginning August 2026.

Responsibilities include undergraduate and graduate teaching in audiology; management and clinical supervision of graduate students to completing clinical practicum experiences and required hearing-related clinical hours; advising undergraduate students; engagement in service at the University, College, and Departmental levels; and pursuit of creative and scholarly work, with an emphasis on community engagement and student involvement. Summer teaching is strongly encouraged.

Nazareth's Department of Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences comprises undergraduate and graduate programs, with graduate specialties in autism, deafness, early intervention, bilingual, and medical speech-language pathology. Graduate students can also earn the New York State Teacher of Students with Disabilities ( TSSLD) certificate and Bilingual Education (Spanish) extension. The department has more than 200 students (85 graduate students) and 11 full-time faculty. Interprofessional collaboration and education are hallmarks of Nazareth University.

Our on-campus clinics are located in the state-of-the-art York Wellness and Rehabilitation Institute, a facility that also houses physical therapy, occupational therapy, social work, and creative arts therapy clinics, in addition to our Speech-Language Clinic, Neurogenic Communication and Cognition Clinic (NC3), and Audiology Clinic. Our active on- and off-campus clinical partnerships provide rich opportunities for audiology clinical supervision, interprofessional practice, community engagement, and clinically applied research.
