TEKsystems is seeking a skilled Cloud Network Engineer to join a forward-thinking engineering team focused on building and maintaining modern, scalable network infrastructure across data centers, campuses, and cloud environments. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and enjoys designing, automating, and optimizing hybrid cloud and software-defined networks. What You'll Do * Design, implement, and support network infrastructure across data centers, campus LAN, branch offices, and internet edge * Build and manage hybrid cloud and software-defined data center (SDDC) environments * Configure and support routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers * Drive automation and continuous delivery to improve deployment speed and reliability * Monitor performance, troubleshoot outages, and optimize network systems * Collaborate with Cloud, DevOps, and Systems Engineering teams * Perform capacity planning, audits, and forecasting (IP, bandwidth, licensing, etc.) * Support escalations and provide technical guidance across projects * Create and maintain network documentation and operational reports * Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team development The ideal candidate will have experience within: * Cisco networking technologies * Palo Alto firewalls * Aruba networking and WiFi solutions * Routing, switching, and firewall management * Experience in network engineering within enterprise environments * Strong understanding of high availability, scalability, and network security principles * Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues and support production environments Preferred: * Experience with VMware NSX-T * Exposure to cloud networking (Azure or multi-cloud) * Familiarity with ClearPass * Background in DevOps or network automation * CCNA or similar certification Why Join * Work on cutting-edge cloud and network technologies * Be part of a collaborative, high-impact engineering team * Opportunity to mentor and lead within complex projects * Exposure to enterprise-scale infrastructure and innovation Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Anchorage, AK. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $50.00 - $70.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
