Responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of employees in the workplace by preventing accidents, promoting a safe work environment, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Does this position require Patient Care?
-Develop, implement, and update safety policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations.
-Conduct regular safety inspections of the workplace to identify potential hazards, unsafe practices, and non-compliance with safety standards.
-Investigate accidents, incidents, near-misses, and safety-related incidents to determine root causes and develop corrective action plans.
-Develop and deliver safety training programs to employees, managers, and supervisors.
-Monitor compliance with safety regulations, codes, and standards, such as Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations.
-Assess the need for safety equipment and personal protective equipment and ensure their availability, proper use, and maintenance.
-Develop and implement emergency response plans, including evacuation procedures, fire safety plans, and first aid protocols.

Education
Bachelor's Degree Occupational Safety & Health required or Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study required

Experience
Safety-Related Experience 2-3 years required and Leadership Experience 1-2 years preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledgeable of local, state, and national safety regulations and standards is essential.
- This includes knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration guidelines and relevant industry-specific regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills to identify potential hazards, assess risks, and develop effective safety strategies.
- Keen eye for detail to identify potential safety hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Strong leadership qualities to effectively educate and motivate employees to adhere to safety guidelines.
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and work in diverse environments.
