Summary: Responsible for subfloor preparation and installing a range of floor coverings in commercial locations and site conditions. Installations include textile, resilient, wood and tile products. Does this position require Patient Care? No Essential Functions: -Inspects sites to determine the most appropriate flooring solutions. -Removes existing flooring and discards this material, if applicable. -Prepares the work surface by applying adhesive, grouting, or other appropriate materials. -Installs wood, carpeting, tiles, concrete, and other types of flooring. -Ensures that the flooring materials are well-positioned, secure, and clean. -Educates clients about suitable care for their floors. Education High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? Yes Licenses and Credentials Experience Flooring Experience 2-3 years preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Familiarity with floor installation procedures. - Good arithmetic skills. - Capable of independent and group work. - Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and troubleshooting abilities. - Ability to lift 50 pounds independently and maneuver heavy equipment. - Ability to work in a hot and varied climate.
