Planner I Company: TriMas Company LLC Primary Location: 3423 S Garfield Avenue, Commerce, CA 90040 USA Workplace Type: On-site Employment Type: Hourly | Full-Time Function: Manufacturing Production / Distribution Equal Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Veterans/Disabled Main Duties & Responsibilities Summary/Objective: Planner I is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating production for assigned product lines. Identify schedule conflicts and work with stakeholders to develop solutions. Manage the OCR expedite process. Works in a safe manner, following all established safety guidelines. 2. Ensures that job orders and appropriate engineering documents are printed and distributed in a timely manner to satisfy the monthly MPS (Master Production Schedule) output requirements. 3. Coordinates all OCR activities related to product flow to satisfying pull requirements and customer commitments. 4. Coordinates all expediting activities relative to Airbus and other accounts, if assigned. 5. Plans product line(s) as assigned. 6. Coordinate with purchasing to ensure OP and raw material items are on order and arriving as per schedule for assigned product line items. 7. Create MRP workbench and act upon suggested releases and messages. 8. Follow-up on any rejected items to ensure timely replacement order or to confirm the date for expect rework activity to be completed. 9. Working with Production, ensure that job orders remain on schedule to satisfy the plan. 10. Performs other related duties as assigned. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Position type/Expected Hours of Work - What is the work schedule Travel: Travel is primarily local during the business day. Required Education and Experience: 1. Minimum High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred. 2. Strong attention to detail. 3. Solid analytical and problem-solving skills. 4. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. 5. Experience utilizing ERP systems such as Syteline, SAP, and Oracle. 6. Intermediate level or higher Microsoft Excel skills. 7. Experience utilizing Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Word. 8. One (1) to Three (3) years of experience planning within a manufacturing/warehouse environment. 9. Familiarity with kanban and other inventory control concepts a plus. 10. Must be able to fluently speak and write in English. 11. Bi-lingual Spanish preferred but not required. Compensation In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the expected pay range for this position is $28/hr. Compensation can vary depending on several factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, experience, competencies, and geographic location. Some roles may qualify for extra incentives like equity, commissions, or other variable performance-related bonuses.
