What to Expect
The Construction Superintendent is responsible for the overall project delivery on assigned work: field leadership, planning, coordination, and execution of general construction activities (including HVAC, Plumbing, civil, process piping & equipment setting). They must have a strong understanding of general construction practices, mechanical competency, and the ability to work in an active factory without disrupting production to effectively manage and direct multiple trades. The role emphasizes oversight, sequencing, risk management and stakeholder management, with hands-on field involvement reserved for critical activities, audits or coverage gaps.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate and supervise all on-site construction
activities, including scheduling of trade contractors, utility, structure, and vendor tool installations; resolve day-to-day construction issues and perform inspections to ensure compliance with plans and specifications - Enforce all jobsite and company safety rules, conduct
daily safety meetings, and maintain a safe work environment by following and enforcing applicable state and OSHA regulations, ensuring proper use of PPE and safety equipment - Monitor labor productivity, material usage, job
quantities, and timesheets to stay within budget; track and manage KPI reports - Ensure look-ahead plans are executable by resolving
spatial conflicts, lift plans, access constraints, and trade stacking; anticipate long-lead materials and escalate procurement/vendor performance issues early - Align labor plans, crew composition, overtime and
multi-shift operations with project milestones, turnover dates, and commissioning needs - Plan, coordinate, and execute construction activities
to minimize disruption to ongoing factory operations - Communicate effectively with factory personnel and
stakeholders to ensure awareness and understanding of construction activities, timelines, and impacts
What You'll Bring
- 7+ years of experience as Lead Superintendent on large
industrial facility construction, building renovation, or design-build projects, with expertise in general construction practices including industrial/mechanical, HVAC/Plumbing, and civil construction - Strong technical knowledge of mechanical installation
(welding, brazing, soldering), building codes, mechanical standards (ASME, ANSI), and construction design documents with ability to provide constructability feedback - Proven experience supervising and managing multi-trade
installation crews in active production environments without disrupting operations - Ability to work within a high-performance,
cross-functional organization with extremely tight timelines and aggressive goals - Working knowledge of construction design documents,
building codes, standards, and environmental regulations - Computer literacy with Microsoft Office Suite, email
systems, and scheduling tools - Excellent written and verbal communication and
presentation skills; must have command of the English language

Expected Compensation
$100,000 - $150,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
