As a Security Officer Entry Control in Front Royal, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy retail distribution location where you will monitor entry points, verify badges and credentials, and support access control procedures. This role combines customer service and communication with a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. Working as part of a caring, agile, and reliable team, you will bring integrity and professionalism to daily interactions while supporting a welcoming environment.

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or vendors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or credentials, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with location protocols.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, including exterior areas, parking areas, and perimeter points, with working environments and conditions varying by site.
• Help to deter unauthorized access and/or policy violations by maintaining a visible presence, observing activity, and reporting security-related concerns promptly and accurately.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
