Included with the Lecturer position is a 10% Academic Coordinator position. Successful applicants may begin as early as September 2026. Lecturers will be expected to teach one or more courses each quarter (up to five courses during the academic year) in areas related to communication sciences and disorders. These areas include anatomy and physiology of speech and hearing, speech/language/hearing disorders, audiology, clinical practicum, and related topics. Opportunities to teach one or more courses online may also be available. The part-time academic coordinator will be responsible for assisting faculty and staff in the development of a new graduate program in speech-language pathology. This includes curriculum development, advising on facilities and space, advising on recruitment for lecturer positions, assembling materials for program approval and accreditation. Qualifications include a doctorate in the field of communication disorders and familiarity with ASHA requirements and accreditation procedures for speech-language pathology graduate programs. We seek candidates with strong teaching credentials who can contribute to the quality of our undergraduate Language Science program, particularly in areas aligned with communication sciences and disorders. The number of courses available may vary by quarter and academic year. Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in a related area.
