We are looking for an organized, professional strategic leader to join asa VP Enterprise Infrastructure. The Vice President, Enterprise Infrastructure provides strategic leadership for GTE Financials' enterprise infrastructure, ensuring secure, resilient, and scalable technology services that support business objectives and exceptional member experiences. This role is responsible for developing and executing the infrastructure strategy, driving cloud modernization, automation, operational excellence, and technology standardization while ensuring reliable day-to-day operations.

As a trusted business partner, the Vice President aligns technology investments with organizational goals, fosters innovation, and communicates effectively with employees, executive leadership, and the Board of Directors. This position plays a critical role in advancing GTE Financials' digital transformation, operational efficiency, and long-term technology strategy.

What does GTE look for in a VP Enterprise Infrastructure?

Leadership:

  • Lead, coach, mentor, and develop high-performing infrastructure teams while fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Recruit, retain, develop, and manage talent, including performance management, succession planning, and workforce planning.
  • Establish department objectives, key performance indicators (KPIs), and operational metrics aligned with organizational and executive priorities.
  • Conduct timely performance evaluations and career development planning utilizing Integrity Coaching principles.
  • Create an engaging work environment that promotes teamwork, inclusion, creativity, and operational excellence.
  • Build leadership capability across the infrastructure organization through coaching, mentoring, and professional development.

Infrastructure & Operations:

  • Develop and execute the enterprise infrastructure strategy supporting business growth, digital transformation, AI adoption, automation, and data-driven capabilities.
  • Develop and execute enterprise cloud strategy, including governance, security, cost optimization, and modernization of infrastructure.
  • Partner with Information Security leadership to ensure enterprise infrastructure aligns with cybersecurity strategy, regulatory requirements, and risk management objectives.
  • Develop strategic technology partnerships and hold vendors accountable for innovation, service delivery, contract performance, and business outcomes.
  • Define enterprise architecture standards, technology roadmaps, and infrastructure governance across clouds, on-premises, network, compute, storage, collaboration, and endpoint technologies.
  • Lead enterprise cloud strategy, including architecture, governance, security, modernization, cost optimization, and operational excellence.
  • Deliver highly available, resilient, and secure infrastructure services while maintaining 24x7 operational support and meeting or exceeding 99.9% service availability objectives.
  • Oversee enterprise infrastructure operations including networking, servers, storage, virtualization, cloud platforms, identity management, backup, disaster recovery, and collaboration technologies.
  • Direct infrastructure modernization initiatives including automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), platform standardization, and operational efficiency improvements.
  • Prioritize and execute multiple enterprise initiatives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while balancing operational stability and strategic innovation.
  • Establish service level objectives (SLOs), operational dashboards, and performance metrics to ensure service quality and continuous improvement.
  • Own enterprise infrastructure financial planning, including operating budgets, capital investments, technology lifecycle management, capacity planning, and ROI measurement.
  • Ensure infrastructure resilience through comprehensive disaster recovery, backup, business continuity, and incident response strategies.

Strategic Leadership:

  • Ensure highly available, resilient, and recoverable infrastructure that meets enterprise service level objectives and business continuity requirements
  • Partner with executive leadership to identify emerging technologies that improve operational efficiency, member experience, and business capabilities.
  • Collaborate closely with Information Security leadership to ensure infrastructure architecture supports cybersecurity strategy, regulatory compliance, and enterprise risk management.
  • Develop and maintain enterprise technology policies, standards, governance frameworks, and operational procedures that support regulatory compliance, audit readiness, and security best practices.
  • Lead strategic technology planning, evaluation, selection, and implementation of new platforms and infrastructure solutions.
  • Build and manage strategic relationships with technology vendors, service providers, and business partners while ensuring contractual performance, innovation, and value realization.
  • Serve as a trusted technology advisor and business partner to executive leadership and business units across the organization.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on infrastructure reliability, automation, scalability, operational maturity, and cost optimization.
  • Maintain awareness of industry trends, emerging technologies, regulatory changes, and infrastructure best practices to proactively guide organizational technology decisions.
  • Translate business challenges into scalable technology solutions that improve efficiency, resilience, productivity, and organizational performance.
  • Demonstrate financial stewardship through effective management of operating expenses, capital planning, technology investments, and long-term infrastructure sustainability.

Operational:

  • Must demonstrate a functional knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act in addition to other Federal laws, including but not limited to U.S. Patriot Act, Office of Foreign Assets & Control, Anti-Money Laundering, Right to Financial Privacy Act, and the Bank Bribery Act.
  • Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish).

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in Business Management/related field, Master's Degree preferred.
  • Min 10 years' experience with at least 5 years of progressive management experience or combination of education and experience. Minimum of 7 years of demonstrated leadership and vision in managing staff, groups and major projects or initiatives in the technology field.
  • Demonstrated expertise across enterprise infrastructure technologies including cloud platforms, networking, identity, collaboration, endpoint technologies, data center operations, storage, virtualization, observability, automation, disaster recovery, and cybersecurity principles.
  • Preferred prior experience with ISO (Information Security Officer)

Position Details:

  • Location: Downtown Tampa - GTE Headquarters
  • Department Hours: Monday- Friday (8:00 am to 6:00 pm)

Full-time hours required, with additional hours necessary to accomplish objectives, goals, and projects.

The position is defined as hybrid in nature, (in-office, or remote) and may be changed at any time by management with appropriate notice, if possible.

Required for Remote/Hybrid Work:

  • A quiet workplace so you can focus on delivering excellent service to our members.
  • Some positions will require performance standards to be met to qualify for alternative work arrangements.
  • Required to have power and high-speed internet over 100MB (minimum).
  • Video capability (connection of 1.5 Mbps up and down recommended).
  • Candidates must provide and meet all technical requirements prior to the first day of training.
  • Hybrid candidates must live within driving distance of the office location and be able to regularly commute to and from the office location as needed.
