United States (traveling role) About Us The COST of Wisconsin, Inc. team creates award-winning construction for zoos, theme parks, casinos, resorts, museums, botanical gardens, residential communities, golf courses, family entertainment centers, theme retail stores, and restaurants. Impact of the Role A theme construction artist is responsible for creating and installing high-quality 3-D themed elements for various exhibits and displays, including sculptures, rockwork, and specialty finishes for museums, theme parks, water parks, aquariums, zoological exhibits, and other unique projects. This role combines artistic craftmanship with construction execution in the field environment, requiring strong sculpting, painting, and fabrication skills. All work is performed efficiently, safely, and according to specifications and guidelines. This hands-on role requires travel throughout the US, and is nonexempt. What the Role Does 1. Create sculptures, rockwork, textures, and other three-dimensional themed elements in the field environment. 2. Apply specialty paint finishes, coatings, and artistic renderings to achieve desired visual outcomes. 3. Collaborate with designers, superintendents, engineers, and other team members to achieve project goals. 4. Use a variety of tools and techniques to weld, cut, grind, sand, carve, sculpt, texture, spray, brush and mix materials. 5. Develop and refine forms, molds, parts, and structural components to ensure accuracy and durability of project installations. 6. Work on projects from surface preparation through final detailing and finishing touches. 7. Interpret blueprints, rendering, and field direction to ensure proper execution of artistic scope. 8. Track progress and details via written and verbal documents. 9. Utilize tools such as sculpting, painting, and texturing tools; tape measure, hammer, pliers, shovel, rake, drills, saws, and handheld grinders. 10. Mentor less experienced artists to help develop their abilities. 11. Operate person lifting equipment such as scissors lifts and boom lifts. What You Bring Knowledge, Education
