Job Summary

Under supervision of the Principal Investigator (PI) and working in close cooperation with other study investigators, personnel, and students on a NIH-funded clinical trial designed to reduce HIV acquisition risk among women who inject drugs. Overall, we are seeking a flexible, detail-oriented, well-organized candidate who has experience developing codebooks for longitudinal studies and analyzing cross sectional and longitudinal data.

Essential Functions



  • Attending regular study meetings
  • Ensuring project files are maintained and secured accordingly
  • Creating and managing codebooks
  • Performing quality assurance and data coordination activities in partnership with PI and Project Manager
  • Conducting data analysis and maintaining logs of syntax
  • Performing administrative tasks as needed This list of duties and responsibilities is not intended to be all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties or responsibilities as necessary.
  • This person in this position may also be asked to contribute to internal and external progress reports to update stakeholders, funders, and data safety monitoring board, as well as presentations, publications, technical reports, or policy briefs disseminating project research.


Required Qualifications



  • Minimum of a Master's Degree in Public Health
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience.
  • Commitment to the HEAL lab's core values.
  • Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail.
  • Ability to analyze, organize, and prioritize work under pressure.
  • Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Ability to work with a large multi-disciplinary team.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Proficiency with computer-based systems including but not limited to Word, Excel, SAS and/or R, and other analytic software.
  • Experience using Qualtrics and RedCap strongly preferred.

  • Typically sitting at a desk/table
  • Typically standing, walking

Additional Information

This is a Part-Time temporary position classified as Non-Exempt. The offered pay is based on the successful candidate's qualifications and experience, department budget, and an internal equity review.
