Job Overview:

The Technical Sales Quoting Manager is the end-to-end owner of the quoting process, ensuring rigorous evaluation, accurate costing, and competitive pricing aligned with both market expectations and Flexan requirements. This role acts as the process owner, driving consistency, discipline, and quality across all quotes. By partnering with key stakeholders across commercial, technical, and operations teams, the role ensures every proposal reflects the right values, while driving process excellence across quoting activities.

This role will develop and manage quoting tools, manage and report quoting KPI. The person in this role will work independently as well as collaboratively and cross-functionally while being a positive reflection of Flexan's & Ingersoll Rand's corporate values.

Responsibilities:


  • Lead and manage the end-to-end quoting process, including BOM cost estimation, pricing strategy, and proposal delivery

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize quoting tools, systems, and processes to improve efficiency, consistency, and scalability

  • Establish and monitor KPIs such as quote turnaround time, accuracy, win rate, and profitability

  • Serve as the central coordinator for all quote-related activities across functions

  • Partner with commercial teams and site operations to align on customer requirements, technical feasibility, and solution design

  • Ensure accurate BOM costing, including materials, labor, overhead, and capital assumptions

  • Provide technical guidance on manufacturing processes, DFM, and cost optimization

  • Support customer engagements by clarifying technical requirements and strengthening proposal quality

  • Drive continuous improvement in quoting methodologies, data quality, and use of market/benchmark insights

  • Leverage a centralized quote library to standardize best practices and improve speed and consistency

  • Support commercial leadership with pipeline accuracy, ensuring quotes reflect realistic pricing, margins, and probability of conversion

  • Enable data-driven decision-making by linking quote quality, win rates, and margin outcomes

  • Lead and motivate cross-functional stakeholders, ensuring alignment on priorities and disciplined execution

  • Other duties as assigned



Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Biomedical, Industrial, or related field) required.

  • 5+ years of experience in medical device CMO/CDMO technical quoting.



Core Competencies:


  • Experience with manufacturing transfers and requirements

  • Expertise in BOM costing, cost modeling, and pricing strategies.

  • Experience with quoting tools, ERP systems, or cost modeling platforms.

  • Knowledge of DFM and cost optimization methods.

  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and customer engagement experience.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects with high accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Strong analytical, financial, communication, and strategic thinking skills.

  • Ability to travel to customers and manufacturing sites as required



Preferences:


  • Cardiovascular, Neuromodulation, CRMN, SH, EP, PV (delivery system, complex catheters etc.).

  • Molded Silicone Products and/or Components experience

  • Strong medical device technical background including manufacturing processes and component knowledge.

  • Understanding of FDA CFR 820, ISO 13485, design and development, validation, and design controls requirements.



Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements:

This role will be remote and will have about 50% travel for the role.

Pay Range:

The total pay range for this role, not including incentive opportunities, is $120,000 - $150,000. The pay range takes into account a wide range of factors that include a candidate's skills; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and geographic location. Hired applicant will be eligible to receive (discretionary/nondiscretionary) annual bonuses and incentive compensation.
