Job Summary

Energy Transfer's is seeking a qualified and experienced Occupational Health Nurse to manage the Medical Surveillance programs, the return-to-work processes for both occupational and non-occupational. Supports both the workers' compensation and leave administration departments and work closely with safety and Human Resources. This position will be the primary point of contact for the Partnership's contracted Medical Director.

Responsibilities

  • Occupational health management of regulatory testing programs.
  • Coordinate and review routine medical surveillance processes and fitness for duty examinations.
  • Monthly regulatory reporting for compliance.
  • Guide and maintain relationships with the third-party vendors as required to support periodic compliance testing.
  • Review clinical assessments to determine fitness for duty (understand relationship between work functions and medical condition which guide decision making)
  • Provide support and feedback for recruitment on post-offer pre-hire exams as needed.
  • Support and collaborate with the safety team on regulatory testing compliance.
  • Interact with leave department for return to work/absence management programs (occupational and non-occupational).
  • Coordinate with leave department on management of work-related and personal illnesses and injuries.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of Occupational Health policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Manage the medication review process.
  • Administrative duties related to delivery of the occupational health services, workers compensation and leave management.

Required Skills

* Registered Nurse/COHN (ADN) or COHNS (BSN) certification required

* Certified Occupational Health Nurse preferred.

* Knowledge of medical requirements for FMCSA and PHMSA covered employees.

* 8+ years occupational health and case management experience

* Experience with the Occupational Health and Safety Act OSHA

* Experienced in applied clinical health risk assessment and fitness for work.

* Proficiency in MS Office and HRIS systems

* Ability to work independently and manage complex situations.

* Excellent communications and organizational skills

* Willingness to work after hours as needed.
