The Job at a Glance

The Warehouse Outbound Supervisor at our 150k square foot, state-of-the-art fulfillment center, is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the outbound department within the warehouse. This role ensures that customer orders are accurately picked, packed, and prepared for shipment in a timely and efficient manner. The Outbound Supervisor leads a team of warehouse associates, enforces safety standards, and drives productivity to meet performance goals.

A Typical Day

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the pick, pack, and shipping teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
  • Monitor employee performance, provide coaching, and conduct training to maintain high productivity and quality standards.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, safety procedures, and quality control standards.
  • Collaborate with warehouse leadership and other departments (receiving, inventory, etc.) to optimize workflow and resolve operational issues.
  • Maintain an organized and clean work environment in the picking area.
  • Monitor and report on productivity, error rates, and order accuracy; implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Assist in developing and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency.
  • Schedule labor and manage timekeeping for team members to ensure adequate staffing during shifts.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies or order issues related to picking.
  • Promote a positive, team-oriented culture and support employee engagement.

The annual salary range for this role is based on including but not limited to qualifications, experience, equipment, and geographical location. Encompass is a pay for performance-company. In addition to base pay, some roles offer a bonus depending on the role.
